Just took my new Oxo steel cocktail shaker out for a spin shake. Having discovered two rather large, full bottles of anisette in my liquor cabinet I decided to try the following cocktail.
3 jiggers anisette
1 jigger gin
1 jigger half-n-half
Shook vigorously in the shaker 3/4 filled with ice cubes and strained into a cocktail glass (type unknown as I am a newbie to cocktails).
I sprinkled a little fresh ground nutmeg on top as suggested on a website I came across for making anisette-based cocktails.
It turned out really good and icy cold, in fact, I nearly froze my freakin' hands off using this steel cocktail shaker
