This very plain bottle/label has been staring me in the face for many months. There is a 4-year old and a 6-year old in my local ABC liquor store. The staff was quite high on it (they actually may have been high on it, as far as I know). I was broke and out of bourbon. I picked up the fifth of 6-year old for $11 plus tax.
Hard to find an age-statement bourbon at that price. Very nice for me. I will be buying the 1.75 on my next trip. Not a lot of info on this one out there. Made by Heaven Hill, apparently. Some rumors out there it is 12-year Weller repackaged. That's just nonsense IMO. But very nice, nonetheless. 86 proof.
You might consider giving it a shot sometime--or having a shot sometime. At worst it would make a great mixer.
