It is a nice looking complete set and the rarer 1958 version but, wow!
Well, as of now it is just a fantasy price someone is asking. Even if it sold at that, I'd still not say a new market value was set until someone else proved otherwise. I'd like $60 for my boxed ball end tech, but I'm not getting it because that is like 4x more than it is worth on its best day...
I'd say the seller is smokin' crack!
You'd be better off taking a holiday to Serbia and buying it from an antique store for 60 bucks.
Why Serbia ? 600$ wont even cover the ticket lolllll

He overpaid himself to begin with imo.... Would a cased chrome toggle even net $600? Enough of these things pop up for me to think they are currently overvalued. If intent for someone is to buy high and sell higher still, you're better off buying something expensive but undervalued.. Like mint Apollo razors, or just about any clean french set.

And it's still there along with other crazy prices..It's like what happened to the housing market.
At 600.00 I think it will set for quite a while, but you never know what someone is thinking. I never thought I would see the prices where they are now on Presidents or British models. And it seems that Fatboys are heading into a new level, that we would have thought crazy high just a couple years ago.
I sometimes wonder what would happen if pro athletes found this forum. I know that they are a small percent of the population, but with the type of income those guys have, 600.00 if nothing. CFM could retire in one week..

At 300 i think it was fair, but not as a resale for profit deal. To get double that he may have to wait another year or so.
it's a beautiful set but I'm not sure it's worth $600 (but I'm certainly no expert). I reckon he may be able to get $450-500 for it.
