Today's score. Really rare?

I got this in today. It is sealed, never opened.

It came as a freebie with this gold basket weave pocket. The outside of the case needs a little work but the inside is near perfect. The razor is in very nice shape, and no handle cracks. Paid $29. Actually I was only bidding on the blade.

Yup. They are very rare blades that were only made for a few months then pulled from the market. They were bad razors, but great collectibles. They are worth around $40-$50 each in that condition.

Actually I was very lucky. It was listed under Advertising and only had one bid.
I have only ever seen one other for sale. It's still there.

There is another similar British Gillette blade that comes in an orange wrapper. It was probably that one. I would have noticed the KRO-MAN.

Thanks, Achim. That is the one I was referring to. I have seen it mistaken for the KRO-MAN on more than one occasion.

I only saw the front of the package during the auction. The De Luxe wording is the give away plus the color of course.
And yes the gold basket pocket was the freebie.
