Today's check in with Blade thoughts

Hello Gents! Been a while since I posted and have a few thoughts. I was generously gifted many sample blades and the last 2 weeks I have been trying out the Superinox Bolzano. This blade has been a bit of a surprise for me. It is not the sharpest but, on my course hair it has done very nice with my Fatip, Rockwell 6C on plate 4, and decent on Henson Med.++. It is a blade better suited for medium or aggressive. I shave my course hair with 3 passes. I gave up on 2 because I have some tough spots. So far I like this blade more that the Bic Platinum.

On another note. As much as I like the Porasso Green (tub) I am afraid it just is not slick enough for me or offer the protection I need. I get much irritation with it. Trying to decide how I should use it up. Mix with Cremo?? I just love the Porasso Red and the TOB stuff.

Next Blade on my list is the Laser Ultra Triple Coated.

Any thoughts and comments from the above is appreciated. Have a great weekend all.

One suggestion: be sure to save examples each blade in your stash.

Revisit them in 6-12 months. Your ratings may well change! (Mine certainly did.) :popc:
Such a great point.
My taste in razors hasn't changed much since I started.
But my taste in blades has. I favor sharper blades now since my technique improved. I put off trying a Feather blade until just a few days ago because I thought it was "too sharp". It was fantastic ... in the right razor and with my improved technique.
On the other hand, some blades I used to like because they were mild, I like less now. They seem a tad dull.

DE blades are a big black hole. Find two or three different ones that work for your razor, your face and hands.
Stick will them and shave.
Just my 2 cents..

I like Bolzano blades, they work really well for me. I know other members don’t like them but they are in my top range of blades.
