I ordered a TOBS St. James Shaving Stick from QED for my dopp kit and was accidentally shipped a tub of cream instead. Even before I received the package, Charles at QED e-mailed me and told me about the mistake. He said that I could keep the tub of shaving cream and he'd send the shave stick in a separate shipping!
Now THAT is awesome customer service!!!
The TOBS is my first shaving cream, and I tried it yesterday and today. It's very nice. It provided a smooth comfortable shave both days and left my skin feeling moisturized and soft.
There's something about the ritual of building a lather from a puck of soap that really appeals to me, so I have some soap-bias. And I need a little more time to master the lathering process with the cream to make a final determination on how I feel about using this cream (or perhaps others). At a minimum, the cream does seem to provide a short-cut for mornings when time is precious.
Either way, I'm really thankful to Charles for his kind "mistake" in introducing me to TOBS St. James cream. As I told Charles, he's found another loyal customer in me because of the excellent manner in which he handled this transaction.
