TOBS Mr. Taylor

Dose anyone else find that Mr. Taylor not quite measure up to other TOBS crams? I have Mr. Taylor, Shaving Shop, and Sandalwood. I am finding that Mr. Taylor is not a slick or protective as the others. I use the same brush same a mount of cream and mix to what appears to be the same consistency but just not the same as the others. Any help or observations would be appreciated.

Nope, I have a tub of it and got a bunch of TOBS cream samples to test. The Taylor is right up there with any.

I love the TOBS scents and think most of them are about the same just different scents. None of them make my rotation as there are so many better performing soaps.

I just ordered a tub of Mr.Tailors TOBS today. I'm looking forward to trying it. I've been using soap pucks for the last year or so, but I don't like the fact that I have to go to so much trouble to store the soaps when I want to change scents. Plus I'm in search of my favorite scent/soap/cream, so I've got a cabinet full of soaps I haven't even tried yet. Does anyone know where I might order some free/cheap samples of various soaps, and creams to check out? I don't like the idea I have to buy an entire tub or puck, or tube just to try one out.

Garry's sample shop. What he has to sample out changes month to month, but I've bought soaps and creams samples from him.
Shoebox Shave Shop has samples of TOBS creams, specifically (and Vito's cream and soap).
Artisan makers have samples -- for a somewhat harder cream, QCS (Queen Charlotte Soaps). I've not used Al's Shaving Cream, but it gets supremely high marks, here. I believe he has samples, too.
I'm emphasizing creams because of the forum, but your post talks about soap, too. Other artisans - Mike's, Mystic Waters, Barrister and Mann, again QCS... all do their own samplers. Strop Shoppe will send a sampler of 5 soaps for free with a purchase of something else.

I'm certain that I'm leaving things out...

Truefitt & Hill has a nice sampler pack, too. It includes a selection of creams as well as pre and post shave products.

Another fan of Mr Taylors.

My favorites are in no particular order:

Coconut
Eton College
Jermyn Street
St James
Mr Taylors

Travis.

The only TOBS cream that I notice a very slight difference in is the Avocado. It seems to leave my skin softer and it takes just a tad more water then the others. Other then that I find all the TOBS creams to perform great for me.

When I started DE Shaving I bought a tube of CO Bigelow cream that was my everyday cream until I tried TOBS.
I really like the TOBS creams, Mr Taylor is my everyday cream I like the light scent. Some days I switch to either TOBS Sandalwood I really like the scent or TOBS Jermyn Street this is for sensitive skin and produces a wonderful smooth lather.
I just dip the brush in and am amazed how little I need to get enough lather for my 3 pass shave routine.
I use creams because I feel soaps require too much work.

Ive read threads online similar to this but for various tobs scents. I just believe that its an old container people like the op are getting
