TOBS Jermyn St. For Sensitive Skin

I've been using TOBS Sandalwood and Mr. Taylor for over a year and wanted to try another scent. I randomly picked Jermyn St. and the tub is labelled:"For Sensitive Skin". This stuff is amazing. I usually get a small nick or "weeper" when I shave ( and I take a blood thinner so this is a pain) but with this cream I just don't. The lather is great too. The scent is much more subtle than the other two, but agreeable. If you're looking for a good cream that will help reduce blood in the sink, try this one. I never knew I was so sensitive!

If you are sensitive to alcohol based scents, you'd like the Jermyn St non alcoholic aftershave. It's quite nice.

Of the dozen or so creams and soaps that I own, Jermyn Street cream and Cella soap are my favorites. They are especially good together in a superlather.

Jermyn Street really smells great. It really burned my skin though. Ironic since it's supposed to be for sensitive skin.

+1 Same here. Jermyn Street and CO Bigelow are the only creams that ever irritated my skin, I'll never use either again.

I like Jermyn Street also. If you get bored with the scent you might want to try TOBS Avocado. I have sensitive skin and a platelet disorder and I find that it performs very similar to Jermyn Street, being slick and protective. Avocado's scent is cucumber/mowed grass with a touch of honeydew melon. I use Jermyn Street in the winter and Avocado in the summer.

I snagged a tub of JS last week, based on the many favorable reviews. Unfortunately, I found the scent to be nausea inducing.
Memo to myself, get sample if unsure of scent.

I tried Jermyn St. in the middle of trying some tallow soaps. They were nice soaps, but quite a bit of work to lather.

I received the JS and laughed out loud at how easy it was to get an outrageously good lather!!! Its great stuff. It does make my skin tingle a little---most cologne scents do. But its very tolerable.

I like the scent a lot, but it might remind some of laundry soap.

Jermyn street is awesome and it has a great modern youthful scent. I love using this cream and the only downside if I really is a down side is that it is difficult to rinse off. Something about the formulation makes it just stick around .... I think that is why it offers so much protection is that it just stays period !!!

Tried a bit of Jermyn this morning, thanks to RonnieAloha. I did not get a tingle, but it did make my face feel warm but not at all uncomfortable. Lather was super good and had a great shave. I found the scent like earthy soap, if that makes sense; and not at all strong, actually pretty weak. Face rinsed off without difficulty. Great post-shave face-feel. Almost makes me wonder why I switched from creams to soaps a few years ago.

Oh lord! Choices choices!! My first try with TOBS has ben Eton College. I really really like it. I've been torn as to what to try next and had almost convinced myself to try Shaving Shop or Mr. Taylor. Now I'm thinking about Jermyn Street. Aaaaaaahhhh! :confused1

LOL sounds like we got to different Jermyn streets LOL !!!! Mine was very 20 something scented I call it the going clubbing scent and is like bearing grease to rinse.... ok it's not that bad but not as easily rinsed as Eton or Mr taylors or sandalwood......Avocado is similar in rinse but very different In scent.

I am working with a sample and I used very little cream on my brush. That may account for it being easier to rinse; certainly enough but not a whole lot of lather on my face. And my brush was wetter than what I would have liked. On the scent, used it again this morning and beginning to think it smells like the elusive fougere I have been seeking like MdC fougere bath soap (which is what I had hoped MdC shaving soap was going to smell like - and it does not). The scent of the TOBS cream is as weak as it was to me the first time. But each of us, I have found, have quite different perceptions when it comes to scents.
