TOBS creams

Got some samples of the Jermyn St and Mr. Taylors from a friend. I tried the Mr. Taylors yesterday and today was the Jermyn St.
Mr. Taylors scent was not appealing to me at first but once I lathered it up I was impressed. Loved the scent of the Jermyn St to start with and was not disappointed once I got it lathered.
VERY impressed with the great thick and protective lather I got with both. Also, my face has been the softest it has been since I started DE shaving!
Thanks Wyokid for the samples! Will have to pick up some tubes of this in the near future. Huge fan of TOBS products so far.

You might as well pick up a tub. As i recall, its a couple of bucks more, and well worth the money. If youre worried about how to lather from a tub, its the same as if you were lathering from a soap puck, but easier. And i agree, the jermyn st is awesome. I got a sample of it, and loved it from the first time i made a lather from it. Also, as soon as i was done my wife came into the bathroom and told me how awesome it smelled in there. Needless to say, i bought a tub shortly after that.

I love the Jermyn St. Have both the cream and the soap. Started with the cream and am now trying the soap out. So far, so good. Figured I would compare soap and cream using a scent that I love so as to not knock the soap because of the scent.

Jermyn Street and Avocado are my favorites. I would not buy Sandalwood and Coconut again.

Tried Jermyn st for the first time yesterday and while I looked the performance I'm still deciding on the scent. My daughter said "It smells like Aunt..." kinda killed that. Also loaded a wee bit much on the brush and had enough for twelve passes!

Big fan of TOBS as well. My favorites so far are Eton College, Jermyn St., and Mr. Taylor's. I'd like to try out the Shave Shop scent soon.

Shaving cream doesn't get any better than TOBS. I've tried most of their formulations and liked all, except Almond because it made my skin itch. My favourites are Rose, Lavender, Avocado and Coconut, but the others are unbeatable.

Salter's and Taylor's are both made in the same Factory by Creighton's of Britain. They also make the GFT and T&H creams, to my knowledge. Of the others, Taylor's is my favorite and except for Sandalwood I like all the scents they make. The lather is superb even in hard water conditions which instantly drew me to them.

Cheers!

Bought a sampler of TOBS awhile ago. Today, I am in Chicago and will stop by Merz Apothecary to purchase Eton College, Jermyn st, St. James, and almond tubs. That's how impressed I am with their line.

I have a bunch of samples at home. The TOBS stuff lathers up well. Not sure how I feel about scented soaps though. Also, my descriptions would be hilarious coming from someone who can't describe smells. I thought the Sandalwood smelled like sunscreen for some reason!

I envy you, Sir!

I also thought that...!

Funny!

I thought I would like the cologne type smells, but after a few days I'm kind of tired of them. Very overwhelming.

I'm used to shaving with Proraso or VDH and I like a fresh "soap" smell more than anything I suppose.

Luckily the samples are small!

I just received a tub of TOBS Rose (first time using TOBS) and let me tell you, this stuff is UH-MAZING! Best laher I've ever produced/experienced. The scent is mild, but still very pleasant. I really can't get over how well it lathers up. Maybe it's a combination of my technique improving and my new tools, but compared to my old tubs of AoS and Bigelow (Proraso), this stuff is my new favorite. I'm about to order some grapefruit. Any other scent suggestions?
