TOBS Consistency??

I have read about TOBS consistency being different.

I only have the TOBS Rose and I noticed right away that it is very firm. It is not creamy like a yogurt. Mine is more like a tub of firm butter.

It performs well though.

Any thoughts or comments.

That seems to be the normal consistency.

If you want to soften it up you can load the brush directly on the tub (don't forget to shake it and squeeze it before, too much water is bad for the cream and for the lathering process) and after some days the top will be creamier.

I bought 4 tubs of TOBS at once and they all had different consistency. From fairly firm to quite soft.

They all work well though!

My experience has been that it depends on the scent. Lavender is on the soft extreme and avocado is on the firm (almost a soap). I actually prefer the firmer ones, as I can swirl my brush and not get too much cream. This past weekend I spent about twenty minutes in a shop examining the whole line of tubs and it seems that Avocado, Almond, Mr. Taylor, and rose are all on the firm end. The Shave Shop one (if I remember correctly) was so soft it visibly moved when I tilted the tub. As far as consistency within an actual scent, I opened multiple tubs of the same scent and, at least at this shop, found them all very, uh, consistent. But yes, my rose is very firm too, which is one of the reasons I bought it.
