Tobacco Tins

got to the point that even new jar lids, and a good cleaning with soap and even bleach solution would not prevent spoilage of the next tobacco.

also discovered that the jars seemed to be prone to condensation inside in winter

That's very odd and doesn't quite make sense. The only things that I can possibly imagine is that there's a contaminant somewhere in your process, the lids are not sealing on the jars, or you're storing them in conditions where they are subject to drastic climate changes.

Dirty Donuts are so Good.
I do half pint jars, so that I don’t have too much open at any time.

My cellar isn’t very big, but I don’t know where I would find the room if some of my bulk wasn’t in giant mason jars? Smaller jars does seem to make the most sense when aging though.

Remember to forget me!
No tins here. I just buy 25g at a time, weighed out from the big GH tubs at the newsagent. I don't hoard it either, just buy it as and when I want it. I've only bought/smoked 50g so far this year.
