I could not make this up... But here is a pic of my building @ 1 a.m. July 5th (sorry that it is so blurry).

At around 12:50 a.m. the fire alarm went off. This happens a lot here in my building but usually ends with little drama. But this time it was no drill. I walk outside and there are fire trucks coming from every direction. And then I see smoke and flames coming from the 8th floor.

The firemen ran inside and hosed down the unit. They said that is appeared to have started on the patio. Which faces the fireworks from the previous picture from this evening. Could be related I suppose I'll find out more tomorrow?

Didn't get to take any this 4th of July. Here are 2 pictures from 2004.

That's my neighbor enjoying the fireworks on the street.
