I did the Sunday morning shave thing today, using my Timeless bronze open comb. I decided upon a Voskhod blade. A blade I often lampoon the way Johnny Carson used to mock the movie "Hudson Hawk".
I figured hey, maybe, just maybe, an aggressive razor like this might bring out something good in the razor brand I liken to a lawnmower blade after 3 summers of use.
I don't care what you make of blade gap. My Timeless bronze open comb is aggressive. Not stupid aggressive like a Gillette Old Type or lawsuit aggressive like the Cadet OC. But I do have to exercise caution with it in a way I never would with a Super Speed.
And it worked well. Showered. Colonel Conk's pre-shave oil. And it was a good shaving experience. I may finally use my Voskhods now, rather than leave them for some archeology and anthropology students to discover 200 years from now and be sold on eBay as "new old stock".
