Shave 20200625
20200625_142412~2.jpg

Razor: Colonial General V2, Timeless TRH6 Ti Handle
Blade: Feather Artist Club Professional Super (3)
Brush: Omega EVO
Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper
Soap: RazoRock Mudder Focker
Aftershave Balm: Hyaluronic Acid
Aftershave: RazoRock Mudder Focker

WTG, XTG & ATG. Minor touch-up.

DFS++ with no nicks, cuts, weepers or irritation.

The Feather Artist Club Professional Super blade matched up beautifully with the Colonial General. Great combination. Smooth and comfortable.

Similarly excellent results from both the @Blackland Razors Vector and the Colonial General when sporting the Feather Artist Club Professional Super blade. The Vector is more nimble, the General has a more "traditional" feel. Both are great razors that offer superb results.

I'm definitely keeping both. :)

Shave 20200626
20200626_141637~2.jpg

Razor: @Blackland Razors Vector
Blade: Schick Proline (1)
Brush: @Rudy Vey AS3M w/25mm Mühle STF Knot
Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper
Soap: TOBS Grapefruit
Post-shave: Gentleman Jon Alum Block

Aftershave: Clubman Osage Rub
Cologne: Pinaud Clubman Lime Sec

WTG, XTG & ATG. Minor touch-up.

DFS++ (very close to BBS) with no nicks, cuts, weepers or irritation.

The Schick Proline is another very nice match for the @Blackland Razors Vector. The Proline seems to be at the ~2/3 point between the regular Feather Pro and the Feather Pro Super.

The Vector is proving itself to be a very special razor.

The TOBS Grapefruit, Clubman Osage Rub and Pinaud Clubman Lime Sec combined for a very nice summer shave.

Very refreshing shave! :)

@never-stop-learning thank you for all this valuable information! Blackland notes the Vector is a 5 aggressiveness level. Could I trouble you to compare to the Hawk 3 OC for me? (What number would you give the Hawk3 in comparison?) Thank you! :)

I am not as good at rating razor aggressiveness on a numerical scale as some. ;)

Given that, and very much "in my opinion", if the Vector is a '5' then the RR Hawk V3-OC would be approximately a '6'. Not a lot more aggressive, but noticeable.

Again, just my opinion and YMMV. :)

As an aside, The Colonial General V2 and the Timeless TRH6 Ti Handle are about as close in finish, color and function as you can get from two different manufacturers. Looks great. Really firm grip. Allows for a very confident and comfortable shave.

The @twhite TNNSER 3D razor is "too cool for school". This is a very effective and capable GEM blade razor. Some flexibility with the shaving angle - started somewhat steep and moved the handle up until I felt the best efficiency (it also worked going shallow and moving the handle down ;)). Smooth and efficient. Many thanks and much gratitude to @twhite for making these wonderful 3D Printed GEM based razors.

Pretty darn outstanding Single Edge Sunday Shave! :)

Shave 20200718
20200718_171921~2.jpg

Razor: Jones Shake Sharp v2
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Yellow (1)
Brush: ShaveForge Orange Tree handle, TNS 24mm Full Moon knot
Soap: Haslinger Ringelblumen
Aftershave Balm: Hyaluronic Acid
Aftershave: @OkieStubble Bootlegger's El Dorado

WTG & ATG. XTG touch-up.

DFS++ with no nicks, cuts, weepers or irritation.

The first Shake Sharp v2 razor I scored ended up going back to the seller. The rivet that holds the plate on one side was 'popped', resulting in way too much play on that side. It also allowed the part of the plate with the hone to freely move in and out. I had to use a twist tie to hold it in place. In my opinion, it was not safe to use. The seller was very accommodating and facilitated the return.

In the meantime, I scored this one and am pleased to report that there is a night and day difference. This appears to be how a Shake Sharp v2 should look, feel and perform.

And perform it does! Using the Gillette 7 o'clock Yellow, I got a very comfortable and impressive 2 1/2 pass DFS++.

Wonderful razor and shave! :)

Single Edge Sunday Shave 20200719
20200719_144914~2.jpg

Razor: Supply v2 Stainless (3-dot plate)
Blade: Schick (2)
Brush: @Rudy Vey AS3M (25mm Mühle STF)
Soap: RazoRock XXX
Aftershave Balm: Hyaluronic Acid
Aftershave: RazoRock XXX
Cologne: G eàu Bronze EdT Spray (clone of Acqua Di Gio Absolu)

WTG, ATG & XTG. Minor touch-up.

DFS with no nicks, cuts, weepers or irritation.

The Supply v2 Stainless, using the 3-dot plate, is a competent, medium efficiency injector razor. With three passes and some touch-up with my Schick G8, I was able to get a nice DFS. No muss, no fuss.

The Supply v2 is a very well made razor and I really like being able to take it apart for cleaning. Downsides? It's a bit heavy for my preference. My vintage Schicks get me as close (or closer) and are more nimble.

All in all, a very nice Single Edge Sunday shave! :)

MicroMaticMonday,July 20th 2020, commemorate 2yrs of ASR shaving as a group of A.S.R keeners.
Always wondered what it would be like to have a Micromatic adjustable so I had to improvise my version today with
- Mid range + by different variants of the Micromatics to see & feel how it would go. A little bit of extra work but it was worth the effort to receive a BBs shave. Gem Mfg was working on adjustable's in some proto types but nothing ever came of it. I think the modern version of a Gem adjustable would be more like the Blackland Sabre with different base plates and open comb base plate version for the traditional concept. Just a different shave to shake up a MMMonday for my self.
Razor: MMFW, bullet tip,Guiding eye....Mfg 1947-50
Razor: MMCP,(Peerless Variant)-Mfg 1945
Razor: MMOC -1932-41
Razor: -BMMOC(bumpless variant)-Mfg 1930-32
Blade:Gem Personna SS PTFE(9) great blade in all respects.
Soap: Proraso green
Brush: Omega Boar brush- nice brush when broken in.
Pre-shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep:Cold water rinse after each pass of 3 + pick ups. MMFW (WTG)+MMCP(XTG)+MM OC(ATG)+ -BMMOC(pick ups)
Postshave: Proraso Green aftershave lotion with witch Hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = :a17: excellent shave with my Micromatics this MMMonday.
