Prep: Splashed water on face
Pre-shave: n/a
Brush: Simpson Duke2, Best Badger
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
Bowl: n/a (face lathered)
Razor: GEM MMOC
Blade: CVS branded GEM Personna (2)
Post-shave: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave Balm: Bath and Bodyworks Hyaluronic Acid Gel
Aftershave Splash: Clubman Osage Rub
Cologne: Classic Match (Polo Clone)

WTG, XTG & ATG. Minor touch-up.

DFS++ (BBS except between my nose and upper lip) with no weepers, nicks, cuts or irritation. Comfortable, smooth and close shave. Awesome result.

The GEM MMOC is a really efficient and effective razor. Nimble and easy to maneuver around my trouble spots. Demands your attention - do not go to sleep while using the MMOC. ;)

The GEM based razors feel so much more maneuverable TO ME than the AC based razors. The MMOC is easily as or more efficient than the Hawk and SE1. Experience has taught me that, with the MMOC, 'Go Steep or Go Home'. ;)

Great razor that has stood the test of time.

Razor: GEM Junior 1912

The GEM Junior 1912 is another delightful GEM-based razor. Nimble, easy to maneuver and close in character (albeit a bit more efficient) to my favorite GEM razor, the Featherweight Deluxe. :)

GEM razors rock! :)

20200415_124341~2.jpg

Razor: GEM Bullet Tip, Magic Eye
Blade: CVS branded GEM Personna (5)
Brush: Vulfix 660S 20mm Super Badger
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch
Bowl: n/a (face lathered)
Post-shave: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave Balm: Bath and Bodyworks Hyaluronic Acid Gel
Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Lilac Vegetal

WTG, XTG & ATG. Minor touch-up.

DFS with no weepers, nicks, cuts or irritation.

The GEM Bullet Tip (Magic Eye) is a very nice shaver. Not as comfortable as the GEM Junior 1912 nor as efficient as the GEM MMOC. Good DFS result but not on a par with the MMOC, Clog Pruf or Junior 1912.

The new Vulfix 660S 20mm Super Badger brush is a pretty cool little brush. Some badger 'funk' but not too bad. Not as dense as my Simpson brushes. Kind of a fun brush.

YMMV

I've got:
COLONIAL GENERAL V2
ATTSE1
BLACKLAND VECTOR

all work about equal with a PROLINE blade.

Actually, today I used the Colonial General first pass and Vector 2nd pass.

I have fun using 2 of my SEs (one pass each).

( and my first use of my new Simpson Chubby1 with Super Badger----fantastic and perfect size)
Excellent!

WTG, XTG & ATG. Minor touch-up.

DFS+ with no weepers, nicks, cuts or irritation.

The Ever-Ready 1914 is a very nice change-up. The shave is similar to the GEM Junior 1912 - a bit more blade feel. Great shave. Comfortable and efficient. Very pleased with the result.

The @Graydog 26mm Full Moon is a wonderful brush. It just does everything right. Really right. :)

***CORRECTION***
The razor I used for the 4/16 shave is the Ever-Ready 924, not the 914.

My brain must not have been fully engaged.

Thanks to my friend @Elvis Outlander for helping me out. :)

Second round for the GEM Clog Pruf. Impressed me again. Really close to a BBS. I like this razor.

Second round for the MMOC. Impressive, most impressive. There is a reason why this razor is a classic. When I am finished with my SE Comparison, the MMOC is staying in my Den Rotation.

Great thoughts. Thanks for posting on all of those razors. I've got about a half dozen SE. But I've never tried the MMOC. I shave daily and finding that my preferences are moving away from anything OC. The Gem Bullet I've had great success with.

You are most welcome. :)

My two favorite GEM style razors (so far) are the Blackland Sabre Level 2 and the GEM Featherweight Deluxe. The MMOC is joining those two, but not as a daily driver. The GEM razor that I can use every day without any irritation or tenderness at all is the Featherweight Deluxe. :)

Shave number three with the GEM Clog Pruf as part of this SE Razor personal overview. The Clog Pruf is definitely, in my opinion, a very good SE razor. Now I'm trying to understand where it should be placed in my personal SE Razor hierarchy.

My quandary is not due to the results - the Clog Pruf delivers excellent shaves. It's more to do with the overall smoothness of the shaving process itself. I think I'm getting there, though.

The answer to the shallow vs. deep angle is a resounding.....it depends on which part of my face. Today's shave was the smoothest so far with the Clog Pruf.

Overall, a comfortable and great shave! :)
