Time Management

Also this is killing me!!
Need to justify this as my Christmas/Birthday / Fathers day present!!

I like it. I struggle with day timers because their rigid layout wither doesn't give me enough room to list my tasks and time or I have long block where nothing is used. His system seems to be somewhat inspired by David Allen's Getting things done, but in a more streamline and less corporate type model. I' think I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the link. Plus, now I can justify another notebook. Maybe a Madori grid?

At a quick glance it looks interesting. I have to agree that it seems to be a version of GTD. Which I have been marginally sucessful with. I think I will have a closer look after I get back from vacation.

I really like the concept. I struggle using my mobile phone as a planner mainly due to the fact that I work in a jail and phones are contraband even for the officers; so I end up trying to plan with my phone and diary at work an things get messy. I really like the concept of this I just wonder if it could be done with something small enough to fit in my top pocket. Does anyone have any good recommendations on good top pocket planners. I have my eye on a midori but that is a lot of cash for a piece or leather

I'm a prolific note taker and jotter.

I have a 70page 8x11 notebook next to my keyboard that doubles as a note pad/mousepad.

I love this concept. I might have to try it.

OK let's do this. I'm going to give it a try for a full month or two. I'm using a standard composition book and thus had to improvise. If it works out great and I like it I'll purchase a grid notebook. figured for a test month or two why spend the money.

I just picked up a Midori MD grid to test this out. I love these little white notebooks, clean looking and really nice paper. I didn't have anything blank around, so its a good excuse to get a new book. I'll try it for September.

Exactly my thoughts!! I hate being limited by space for writing in planners

I finally got to watch the video on the site, man my little midori has stuff everywhere in it, I like this system a lot more ill have to reboot my book and make this work for it

Honestly, I prefer the Franklin Covey Planning system. It has everything the Bullet system has, and more. Sure you have to actually buy the years work of planning pages, but I've used it for YEARS and couldn't be without it. Costs me about $45/year for the planner inserts, but I'd pay 5 times that to continue using them.

Interesting thread.

The Army has its little green books. Hideous lime green cloth over stiff paperboard. When tasks/events from that page are complete, many fold the page over, like a massive dog ear. When I used them, I used checkboxes and bullets and exclaimation pointd and calendar grids, too.

I'll see if I can find one--I went to steno pads and now just sort of use whatever notebook is in circulation in the unit.
