What's new

Time for HoosierTrooper's Happy Dance

Went shopping with the LOTH today and scored 4 SE razors.

Picked up a Beautiful Gem Damaskene and a very nice Gem Micromatic. I haven't even begun cleaning or polishing them yet and they already shine very nicely.

Also got 2 Valet Auto Strops. One older one in the box with the slide in blades and one newer one that has the blades held in with the punched out letters.

I also got a couple travel techs (a German one and a never used 1967 US one), an old spice mug, 3 older brushes, and some Wrisleys Lavender.

Congratulations--I hope you got a good deal on them. BTW, the Gem Bullet-tip is in a MMOC case. Also, if that razor is gold, I wouldn't polish it hardly at all or you'll probably take the gold right off.

The DAMASKEENE is a great razor, smooth but very close shave. Let us know how you like them. What does it say on the bottom of the white brush?

Thanks everyone. Can't wait to get home from work tonight and begin the cleanup process. I bought some Flitz so I can start polishing them tonight. Does anyone know if the polish would work on the Valets?

The white brush is an Ever-Ready 650PB Pure Badger. I think I may just clean that one up and use it w/out re-knotting it. It feels very soft. Would work well for creams in a shallow dish (I think).

The orange one is a Ever-Ready 102 Boar. The big handle on it feels great in my hand. Will probably look for a big knot to put in it so I can have a bigger brush. Most of mine are about the same size.
