Thuringian hone?

So I’ve been after some finishing stones lately and came across this one and took a gamble on it. I’ve read that yellow/green thuringians are quite good so I dropped a single benjamin on it.

Is this a legit thuringian? Can anyone advise me on how to use it if so? Thanks!

Yep it's legit. I've got the exact hone/ color/ box. I spent around the same amount on mine. Incredible razor stone. The one that is a copy of these isn't even in the same ballpark. That one should be a fantastic finisher.

Yes, it’s legit, but it is hard to tell the colour under the dry slurry. There were a few different types with slightly different properties.

This is one of mine which had no box, but a tiny corner of the label still stuck to the back. This was one of the later, darker coloured ones.

The light green Thuri gives a smooth comfortable edge. Not extremely keen. Some people, when new to Straight Razors don't enjoy the edge because of this. They are great stones and lots of info to be found on them. I have a Green, Lt Green, and Dark Blue. The Dark Blue will give a sharper edge. Let smoothness.

I like my green(some variation of green) better than my blue one. The both get very sharp but greens far more comfortable. I dilute the slurry down over time but not all the way. Enjoy!
