Reminds me of when pre-worn-out blue jeans first became popular. “Stonewashed— when you don’t have time to wash them a couple hundred times yourself!”

It seems to me when you have to expend great effort to appear as if you didn’t expend much of any effort, you just appear as foolish as you must be.

Examples I’ve seen on the internet have appeared idiotic - but I don’t iron my shirts, so at least I have a rationalization now.

Had not thought previously thought about Pee Wee Herman being a major Thom Browne influencer but I think he must have been!

Some looks are never meant to be taken seriously ... and then some hairbrained fashion guru comes along and decides that that's exactly what we should do. Hopefully the rest of us have the common sense to just point and laugh ...

... but occasionally these hairbrained schemes start infiltrating real-life clothing.

Eventually, sanity will return.
