Thoughts on a first brush

Been DE shaving for a few weeks now (only at the weekend still whilst Im learning) but without a brush. Thought I really should get the full kit and do this properly.

Looking for something decent but not too expensive and after browing around for a bit I narrowed it down to a few choices ... (In the UK so couldnt find a Crabtree+Evelyn one)

1. Body Shopy £5 jobby
2. Omega Bristle 49/98/106/107 (£10)
3. EJ Medium Pure Badger (£23)

Thinking the Omega 49 as a kind of starter to find out what I like and then really splashing out ;)

Any thoughts guys?

Edit ... Im using creams atm (TOBS avocado) and think I will be sticking to these for a whie

How about Proraso's boar brush? I've got one, and it lathers brilliantly with both soap and cream (proraso cream and col conk soap). Haven't seen any sites that sell that particular brush.

I've got a body shop one -which is adequate-

and last Christmas (2008), SWMBO bought me an EJ Large Best Badger which is superb (buy it from the English Shaving Company and they'll throw in a cream sample).

I hate to confuse you with multiple opinions but a Rooney special from vintage blades is a tremendous value. You'll find a few extra dollars in a brush will translate to exponential increases in value and enjoyment.
