Thomas Jefferson's straight razor

Here is the WADE razor…unimpressive, but a neat little piece of history:

@Matt O's razor does demonstrate a unique aspect of straight razor history. William and Samuel Butcher were making cutlery in Sheffield before they partnered with Robert Wade to export/import razors to/into the US - see:

The early razors were stamped "WADE" (not "BUTCHER") - see Acier Fondu.
Thanks Frank! I am honing it now…I should say “unremarkable,” because the steel is actually rather impressive under the loupe, it’s feels nice on the various stones, and I do believe it delivered a great shave years ago when I tried it out!
