What's new

This William's looks strange!

I bought this box of William's in B.C. a couple weeks ago from a grocery store. Never tried it so I figured it couldn't hurt. When I looked for pictures online though I couldn't match anything to this box. Anyone know why? Also, the soap is peach in color, not white at all!

Looks the same as the one I have, is the Canadian version different? i know the box would be because of the French.

Just as mentioned above, the Canadian packaging is different. It's the same product as is currently available in the US -- just a different box.

Another thing to add is that it is pink because its been on the shelf for a good while

If it is older, there is the possibility that it is Pre-Combe, which would make it far superior to the current Combe Williams.

To the O.P. check the box for the manufacture address. If the manufacturer is anything other than Combe, you have an older formulation of Williams, and it will be vastly superior to the current less than adequate product.

Yes, it has Combe Inc. printed on the side.

Darn, I was hoping to have scored some old soap that just wasn't selling in this little town.

I might as well lather it up anyway to see what it does. I doubt it will come close to the AOS or even VDH I'm using, but you never know!

Williams is much better (and faster) to me when I use a boar brush instead of a badger! :wink2:

That is not always true. I picked up a few that were pink but said combe on them, No one buys them really so they just sit there.
