HAHAHAHAHAHAHA - you are on the wrong forum when it comes to spending money on shaving items. You do save money, (but only on the cost of blades vs cartridge razors). Its all the little EXTRAS that will get ya...trust me, I know from experience. Its all this forums fault....really......<G>

Come hang out innthe fragrance forum, we'll help you ramp that spending up ;-)
Tell me about it...... I've got enough Pinaud stuff to smell good for a couple of years. Plus all my Old Spice, Aquavelva, Menen, etc etc etc etc and lets not forget the Gravity cologne for those "special nights" <G>.

It's an easier path once you accept the simple fact - you may not 'save' money but you will gain so much more!

I never thought I would say nice rack to another guy but this is pretty awesome. I need to get some more safety razors.

Thanks guys,
I modified the shelf to hold the razors.
I didn't find much in Coota but the www has brought all of the world a lot closer. I am waiting on a Razorock Allum block to arrive and my go to razor at the moment is a 1954 Flair Tip sourced from The Vintage Razor Shop. Only thing about ordering on-line is the waiting period.

Also I made some Pre - shave oil today, used it and it works a treat.

I've got it bad.

Cheers,

When I started looking for everything I had put away when I thought I had to shave so very fast that I didn't have time for most of the goodies, I found over a dozen of my older safety razors, including five classic era DEs, several usable aftershaves, just one shave mug, one badly puppy-chewed brush, four or five tubes of shave cream, etc. I do have twice as many DEs now, and several SEs /Injectors, but only my mugs have burgeoned from some SMAD last spring. I haven't spent much on any razor, soap, cream, or aftershave.

I also haven't bought any new cartridges. My preferred shower shave razor is still a Sensor, and I found a sizable reserve of partial packages of the twin blade Sensor cartridges that I'd let accumulate, so when I need to replace a cartridge, I am fixed up for a long while.

The related area that has cost more than it should is cameras. I hadn't taken pictures recently, up to a year ago, didn't know where any working camera was, while now I am very camera-poor.

One year in and no AD's here. In my bathroom, I have one razor (Merkur Futur), two bowls (stainless generic and Dirty Bird 1.5), two brushes (Vulfix 2234 and Simpson Duke 2), a 100-pack of Astra SP's, one bowl of TOBS Lavender, and 2 sticks of Speick. That's it. I replace soap/cream/blades/witch-hazel as needed.
