So I'm using noodlers and I know of their nature to cause nib creep. I'm using an esterbrook 9460, which I working perfect for my triplicate copies. Every time I take the pen out and unscrew it the nib is black. The amount of creep is unnatural. Has anyone had this happen?

That's creepy LOL. I use noodlers quite a bit and notice the same thing. I use mostly newer pens, maybe it's more pronounced on vintage nibs. It is kind of annoying though.

Doesn't mean much without the picture. I'm use to the creep, it's not my first rodeo. This amount I'm getting is unnatural.

Noodler's always creeps on me. It's especially annoying when you let a pen sit for a day or two and the cap gets ink in it.

....or when you take a pen with Noodler's on an airplane. :mad3:

Same here, Dave. I'm considering going to Diamine Registrar's for my waterproof ink needs (addressing envelopes mainly).

You can reduce the nib creep of the ink by diluting it with water. I do about a 60% bulletproof black 40%water mixture and the nib creep was reduced a lot

I have 3 Noodler's inks- Black, Lexington Gray (my favorite), and 54th Mass. Regardless of the pen, the 54th Mass creeps on me the worst. I love the ink though.

Finally home form work after a 17hr day. I know the anticipation of the picture was more than some of you could bare.

Noodlers Old Manhattan. This is a picture after I wiped the nib, and had it in my scrub pocket for 5 minutes.

Right? I know all about Noodler's and their creep. This is just OMG abnormal. I am inking the pen up with an IG ink tonight for tomorrow. Im gonna see how it does.

Id think, it would be more then just creep to get like that quickly. Maybe a flow issue or sumfin, but thats beyond anything i have seen or read about, this is more Nemo or Brian territory then mine

That happens with my Kaweco Sport. It is my Noodler's Lexington Gray Bulletproof ink pen, and it just bleeds like a stuck pig. I'm hoping it'll be better since I switched it from an eyedropper to a converter.
