What's new

Thinking about another Semogue

I've had my 830 for almost a year now and I must say it is a terrific brush :)! Everyone who said it gets nice and soft was right on the money.

I would like another boar brush that is relatively soft but with more back bone. It doesn't necessarily have to be Semogue, but I wouldn't mind another in my collection. Thoughts?

I'm hoping to pick up a B&B Essential boar from WCS. I have an Omega mixed Mighty Midget and it has impressed me so much that I want to try an Omega boar.

I have a 620 and a 2011 LE and the LE is worth every penny (though I have no complaints about the 620). They seem to show up on the BST every once in a while.

I keep seeing positive comments on the 610 and 620 for a shorter loft brush. I also have an 830 and am very happy with it.

Got a 820, shorter loft and more backbone than the 830 (i have one too) or the SOC which is another level again.

I have the 610, 620 and 820. The shorter loft brushes (610 and 620) are stiffer, the 820 has great backbone as well.

Semogue 1800 without a doubt. I love my 830 but the 1800 knot is amazing. If there was an 1800 knot in an SOC handle that would be my favorite boar.

I have an 830, a 620, and the B&B Essentials. Out of that group, based on what you are saying, I'd suggest the 620, or the 610 (pretty sure they are the same, just cosmetic differences).
