Thin Cap Gillette Old Type - most technically correct design ever?

I have about 5 old types and all have some problems.The most common is that the blade when tightened curve if you look at the blade edge. They are not straight as at modern razors.How can I repair them? Is the problem at the top or bottom plate??

Usually the cap (or top).
Look at the corners for burrs, should be flat there.
Check with a straightedge and repair damage with a flat file.

I've found Old Type QC to be below other Gillette eras.

If it's just a slight frown, tighten down harder. Should normalize a bit.
