I just finished shaving with a Gillette new, and had a fantastic BBS week with it. This week, I'm dedicating to using my 1912. Past experience has been good, but I really haven't spent enough time using it exclusively. I'll be using Walgreens Gem Personna blades, and hopefully will continue the streak.

My friend you're using my two favorite razors, if you used astra sp blades in the new then you'd be using my favorite blades as well.
Which 1912 will you be using...there is quite a few to choose from

I'm using a Gem 1912. Today's shave was OK, but not as good as the new has been. We'll give it a couple of additional days, and see how it continues to go. DFS, but not the BBS of the new.
I have astras SPs as well, but the blacks just work so much better than them, I can't really go back. I might try them out again after my 1912 is done.

Day 2. I'm getting my technique dialed in. It still seems that the SE blades aren't quite as sharp as my DEs. I am getting a very good final result, but it seems like I have to work at it a bit more than I normally do. We'll see how it develops as the week progresses.
