With the crazy red dot fat boy and toggle prices lately I thought I would post what started it all. The very first named and patented safety razor called the "star safety razor" made by the Kampfe Bros.. The first picture is the very first model ever sold with the wooden handle and the very first original red tin from 1880 showing the wooden handle. The back of this razor is totally blank with no engraving. The next two images are the second model ever produced with the first rear engraving and the tubular handle which included the strop handle. The tin is in amazing shape as is the razor which does not appear to have ever been used. These models are rare and represent real shaving history.
