The Vermont Country Store Apothecary soap

I recently bought this as part of a lot of goodies and was hoping to find out a little about it if any of you Northeasterners have any experience with it. Did a search but only found a couple threads from awhile back. Thanks!

They have a website and it looks like this sells for around $10 a puck.

The ingredients posted on the site are:
Sodium Cocoate, Water, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate,Fragrance, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Propyl Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Chloride, Coconut Acid, Dimethicone Copolyol, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Palmitate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimomium Chloride.

I could be mistaken, but it looks like it is 3 pucks for $10. I'm interested in how it performs, the scent sounds pleasant.

I ran across an older gentleman whose son gifted him the mug and soap. He declined a puck of Trumper's Coconut saying that he would only use the soap his son had given him. I guess that is a positive testimonial. Sorry I have no first hand experience with it.

THREAD NECROPSY!!!!

Sorry to revive an old thread gents, but I just moved up to Vermont from Southern Virginia and picked up a puck of this stuff in Lime Musk.

Doesn't really smell like Lime or Musk, more like run of the mill Dove or Dial. Really neutral.

However, it does lather quite nicely. The lather is a little bit "airy" producing larger bubbles than I am used to, but is pretty slick and provides decent cushion. I'm not one for thick gobs of lather on my face, slickness is the name of the game for me.

The price point is reasonable and it's right down the street so that is a plus. I much prefer this stuff over modern Williams and I think it does VDH Deluxe one better as well. If I didn't have internet access, this stuff would be my go-to for a good, cheap soap.

That being said, I do have internet access and Arko and Palmolive blow this stuff away.

I ended up throwing that stuff away. I tried and tried to get it to work and I couldn't. The apothecary mug it came in is great, I use it regularly.
