Caswell-Massey shaving soap (and its sister product, the cream) is commonly reckoned to be about as unlatherable as it gets. Not even suitable for shaving. Something you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.
Conventional wisdom is sometimes wrong.
Lathermeisters, I am throwing down the gauntlet. I hereby challenge all of you to dust off your pucks and test your mettle by joining a few of us, both experienced and new, in a week's worth of unadulterated Caswell-Massey shaves. (Yes, the lathers you see here will be real. No superlathering!)
What say ye?
This "Unlatherables" Challenge, if you choose to accept it, will begin next Monday the 29th of August and continue through the end of the week. It will simply involve shaving with Caswell-Massey shaving soap or cream, sharing your observations, and, if possible, posting PICS! of your resultant lather.
By the end of the challenge -- if you survive -- you will be a broken, destroyed man. Either that, or you will be able to proudly engrave another notch on your soapslinger's belt.
Gentlemen, I challenge you to join me, Nick (GreekGuy) and Louis (lourendo) in exploring "the outer limits" of latherability.
