I hate to burst your bubble, but those blades are less than a centimeter long. They're used for slicing material on a cellular level for SEM analysis.

Actually, this one is a much more generous 1.5" x .5", so the size is workable. The only thing stopping me from getting one to mess around with is the price. You may have been looking at the diamond knives, which are indeed very small.
