I don't have a dog in the Williams fight, but it appears that Combe has discontinued Modern Williams. There are email replies from Combe that have been posted in a few threads in the Soap forum that state that it has been discontinued.

Ok thank you. The modern stuff is about the equivalent of bath soap In my experience but that's terrible they are discontinuing it since there are quite a few vocal fans of modern Williams, plus it's heritage and being a old school classic it's sad to hear they are closing down shop.

Brother, you can always sell it. And probably for 2 or 3x what you paid.

No stockpiles for me. I seem to be continually finding better and better products the more I try. It’s still to early for me to say that I’ve found “the one”. I don’t get too upset if good products get discontinued. There’s plenty of good stuff still being produced. Too much in fact to ever stock it all.

900+ Astra SPs, 230+Wizamets left, 9 x Palmolive Stick (captured when they were still a shaver's thing, not a collector's), plus 5 x MWF refills.

I have 3 x fairly new SVs and a well-drubbed MWF in play.

I'm not an actuary, but I can do arithmetic, so I probably have "enough blades", apart from playing around with anything new that amuses me.

If I were to guess, I have about 5 to 6 years worth of soap with my daily shave routine.

My conclusion being my den is grossly inadequate, I am completely ill prepared to face a shavepocalypse and corrective action needs to be taken next pay day.
