"Got Shoes?"
The Simpson Eagle

Ok. I would like to hear about this brush from all the Eagle owners out there. I think this brush is something I would be interested in but I would like to see if Vulfix would be willing to put some two-band hair or Best hair in this handle.

The handle, imo, is understated elegance. Simple and functional.

Just curious. If Vulfix was willing to do a run of these brushes with either two-band or Best hair, would anyone be interested?

This is not a jump-off for a group buy. I am just putting this out there. If there is a real interest then we can start knocking on some doors.

If I recall, it was a similar thread that was the impetus for the 1st Great Irisch Moos Campaign of 2008-2009. :yesnod:

What say you, fellow badgers. :badger:

Bob, I have been lusting over this brush for years! I love, love, love the handle style, but never pulled the trigger because of the pure straw broom looking bristle.

I am sure everyone is going to come along and start chanting, "2-band, 2-band, 2-band!" However, I think this brush would be a real looker and performer in best. Also, the G3 (Eagle) has a 22mm knot and 44mm loft - oh hell yeah! Can I put some icing on the cake, please? Beg, no, demand the more traditional Simpsons fan shaped head (just like the one in the brochure pictured above with the "Eagle" (back) side showing). As long as I am wishing, can you throw in a pony too?

What red-blooded American man wouldn't want an Eagle?

I think you are right. A G3 in Best would be an awesome brush. I would definitely be in for one of those.

Oh and instead of a pony how about a butterscotch-colored handle?

A Simpson Eagle G3 in Best with a butterscotch handle. Oh yeah! :yesnod:

If we get a big enough write-in campaign, who knows?

Cue the obession.

Is this what you'd be lookin for?:001_tt1:

My 1st good brush bought 30 years ago next month for £5.:mad3:

I emailed Vulfix who wouldn't sell me a single Knot but would reknot the brush for £45. I inquired if this would be pure, as the eagles are, or maybe best. No answer as yet but no worries I was wanting to restore it myself so TGN for a, rather ironically, UK silver tip which is probably sourced from Vulfix!!

Will net you know how I get on and post pics.

I love the look of this brush, and I love Simpsons Best hair. But... I don't want a G3. Give me the smallest of the lot and I will be happy. I love my Duke 1 and my Rooney 1/1 and I'm sure I will love my Wee Scot when it gets here (fingers crossed for the mail today)

Bob-I made a similar inquiry of Vulfix recently through a vendor about putting a higher grade of hair in one of the existing handles. The reply from them said that they could do it, but for a minimum order of 144 brushes, as they would also have to re-label the handle with the different grade of hair.

I'm with you, Boss. And Jeremy. I have always liked the shape just never pulled the trigger. Best and Butterscotch would be an amazing combination for that style.

And maybe some kind of commemorative sticker with a pony on it or something.:tongue_sm

Yes please. I will gladly trade my dream of a pony for butterscotch handle. :thumbup1:

I love that handle. I have no idea why it captures my fancy so... it's so simple.

Also diggin' that Eagle. I'd love to see that come back around in two-band. Shoot, might just have to have Tony or Rudy make me a look-alike

I love when we see the power of Badger and Blade garnered to shape the wet-shaving world.

Do you think we could muster 144 B&B'ers to get Vulfix to offer up a butterscotch Eagle in Best as well as off them in the various sizes?

Now that would be cool. :thumbup1:

I'll be keeping an eye on this endeavor. I've always fancied the eagle handle...

While were thinking outside the box, I'd also enjoy a Milk Churn in 2 band super.
