What's new

The search for a new brush begins

It might sound extreme to you, but taking one of your brushes and yanking the knot out is a good idea.. simply epoxy or silicone in a new knot from the golden nib.. The knots from that place are affordable and easy to put in. You might need to clean out the brush opening after taking out the old knot. Dremmel tools come in handy. My Finest Badger knot from there is insane..

1438 and 1250/1438 for size reference.

The Semogue 1438 is an excellent brush and inexpensive. Bullgoose has them for $17.
It breaks-in quickly but stays firm with (post-break-in) soft tips that stay a tad scrubby.

Face lather was the trick. Sorry no photo. But I really liked the lather I got today from the 1520.
