So yeah, gold razors.. not for me. I can appreciate some of the oldies in their neat cases, looking like they're ready to shave some high-class dude wearing a monogrammed bath robe or somethin', but they're just not my style. After shaving with an Injector that was a throw-in with another purchase (thanks, Jeff!), I decided I needed another.. a really clean one. And, if it could be a Hydro-magic, well that takes care of that curiosity, too. I always seem to be late on the Injectors that show up on the BST, but this time I was right on time.. from the same person who gave me the first one, even (thanks again, Jeff!).. anyway, I didn't realize it was gold until I opened the box.. dang it! Then I shaved with this thing last night using a Schick (yellow pack) blade, and wow! I love this thing! Do I wish it were chrome? Sure. Will I ditch this because it's gold? Heck no! ..unless someone wants to trade me for an equally clean chrome version.
I think these Injectors are insanely awesome shavers.. I said it after my first shave with one, but I really do understand the "feels like cheating" comment I've read more than a few times. Now I feel like I should stock up on blades while they're available.. I guess it's time to try the stainless blades from Connaught.. if they're as good as the coated SEs I bought from them, I'll be happy. I like the Schick blades, but they're considerably more expensive than the others, from what I've seen.
