What's new

The Prodigal Son returns!

So the 15 year old had a couple of DE shaves and then went back to electric....

"Electrics faster dad ".....

Oh well, number 2 son ( 14 ) and 3 ( 11 ) are the wetshaving sons.

Well this morning number 1 son said he wanted to have a shave....

He even asked for "his" Knack to shave with.

I chucked him the Hemp Shave Stick in an attempt to "humour" him into having a good shave( he's reckons he's so wordly and knows all about drugs....NOT :tongue_sm ), but he couldn't get a decent lather out of it, so got him to load up some Body Shop Macca instead and away he goes.

Hopefully he's back in the fold and will stick with it this time.

Number 3 son decided he had to have a shave as well. Didn't have the heart to tell him there's no blade in the Fatboy ( but I think he knew that anyway ), but then again , looking at his angle and technique, it's probably a good thing :001_smile

Just curious, are you Vietnamese?

My heritage is Chinese/Malay, but I'm a Banana !!!

Yellow on the outside but white on the inside. Born and bred in Tasmania, Australia ( and in a time when there weren't many Asians down here ) :001_smile

So I'm a dinky di Ozzie mayte !!! :001_smile

Wifey is "White Australian" ( Irish background ), so kids are "Eurasian" for want of a better term !:001_smile

Funny , I never think the kids look any different to the "whiteys" down here, but there obviously is a difference :tongue_sm

Nice post. My 2 1/2 year old likes to sit on the counter and watch me shave. Every now and then I let him put some lather on with the brush. Won't be too long before I have to let him try the no blade approach.:001_smile

Nice post Ian! Good to see your teaching your sons how to shave, doesnt happen enough these days!

Very cool. I'm thinking about giving my son a bladeless DE and a brush. He's 6.

Only thing I'd be wary of here is making sure that they are old enough to know the difference between their bladeless razor versus any other razor

My boys have an interesting shaving education, they know all about Rhodium, Catalin, Bakelite............ :001_smile

Awesome post Ian and its good to see the young 'uns getting into it, even if there are no blades in the razor!. :wink2:

Maybe it's an ABC ( Australian Born Chinese ) term.

Edit: nope, just noticed it's in the Urban Dictionary.................

My little sister dated a young man who was Chinese American (both his parents were Chinese) for about 5 years. He used this line all the time.

I'd be careful! I let my son play with my brush (IF I HAND IT TO HIM) in the tub...but I don't even let him pretend to shave with a razor. Kids are unpredictable and you'll never know when they decide to play with dad's razor, not knowing it has a blade in it.

By the way, he's 2. :D
