Like a number of people in the group, I bought a Weishi as my first foray back into double-edged shaving (after a long period away), in my case it was a 9306-G. It quickly got supplemented, then replaced by other razors, as my RAD took hold, and it went into my travel kit, largely because it came in a decent, hard plastic case, and it was so cheap that I wouldn't be upset if it disappeared while traveling. And there it sat until recently...
Well, I have been on the road for the past 3 weeks or so, which has meant using nothing but the Weishi. I have to say, it has been superb. It has been paired with either a Russian Rubie Gillette Platinum Plus or a Dorco, and much to my surprise, it has performed flawlessly. Once I got used to the smaller handle than the long-handled razors I usually use at home, it felt great and gave me BBS shaves every time, yielding at least 3-4 great shaves per blade.
Until this trip, I had planned on replacing it as my travel razor with something with more sex appeal, but now --- no way. If I didn't have so many other razors (did I mention that RAD had struck early on?), it would come out of my travel kit and back into regular rotation. This baby is definitely a keeper.
