I have lived in DC.

Favorite spots included:

• the trees blooming in the garden of the Antioch Law School Library. The tall brick walls concentrated the perfume-like smell. (I understand the law school no longer exists, but I trust no one has cut the trees down...)
• the round floors at Dumbarton Oaks
• string quartets at the National Portrait Gallery
