The Nib Acquisitions 2018

Got my eye on a red/burgundy one.

Plumped for a green slim fold. Turns out I already have a vintage duofold that had been serviced and reconditioned by a vintage specialist around 10 years ago, put it in a draw and forgot about it.

I'll put picks up when the slim arrives. While I was at it I picked up one of the herbin ink roller ball pens for a fiver.

Pic of the slim fold. Writes real well. And is a lot greener than the pic. I couldn't get the light right. Sorry.

Also picked up a Parker not victory in black. (Vendor pic) I'm waiting for it to arrive.

Super nice vintage scores! I've not yet had any luck finding any in the wild that were in a condition worth picking up. I'm also not nearly deep enough into the rabbit hole to take a gamble on restoring one I find online or in a shop locally. lol

That looks exactly like my blue one - except it is green :=)
What number do you have on the nib?

Guess it did not need more than a good flushing? These pens seem to be as tough and robust as the P51 from the same times...

The nib has a number 5 stamped on it. The victory arrived yesterday and looks way better than the pic from the vendor. He'd already flushed it through and and given it a polish. Loaded with quink black and off she went. The nib is less springy than the skinfold but she's a great writer. In fact it's up on deck for tomorrow. I'm starting a new job and day one is corperate induction day. So new note pad A5 size (nothing special) and the Parker.

Picked up a really early Parker Vacumatic, date code 45 (4th quarter 1935) in green, two-tone nib looks like a medium.
Needs work (nib, filler diaphragm) as it's fresh out of an estate sale. Damn, feelin' lucky!

Kaweco Skyline Sport, fine nib with converter
Noodler's Konrad Tinian Treasure, flex nib
Diplomat Magnum, broad nib

Montverde Canyon Rust
Organics Studio Nitrogen

Traveler's Notebook, passport size

Just surfing the bay looking for hen's teeth when I came across this. The infamous Kaweco ink roller pen. A new year present. I've been using their current roller ball with the G2 recipient but have been after one of these for a while.

Jürgen is a good seller, I met him at the LA Pen Show about 15 years ago and have bought a few pens from him in the last few years.

Conklin All American Yellowstone. Wanted the fountain pen but went for a ball point as it will be more suitable for work.

Very pleased with it and I like one of the other colour patterns of the same pen which I will get at a later date in the fountain pen configuration.

Just a quick snap with the camera, anyway.

Nice been looking for a work suitable ball pen. Plummed for something cheaper though. Went with a sheaffer Award in Red with black medium point ballpoint and the Caran d'Ache metal classic 849 in red with a fine black ball point.

Looks nice! I have to go with a chunkier body or my hand fatigues quite quickly.

I got several replacement ink cartridges as well. I like to mix it up so several colours.

I haven't tried Sheaffer yet but they have some nice pens!

I picked up a Rouge et Noir, MB with a medium nib and still played with a bunch of other pens too
