Married 50+ years and I still can't get my wife to watch even one. I began reading the Fleming books in high school before Dr. No even came out. I saw the first two films while in high school, and the next 3 in college. After that, with Fleming dead, and films deviating so far from the books, I lost interest. I still occasionally DVR and enjoy Dr. No and Goldfinger on cable. They were the best.

Let's just say that production values have improved somewhat.

KEAN. A 1923 silent film on "The Russian Emigres In Paris:1920-1929" Flicker Alley set. Best of the set, but I still prefer Musjoukine (Mozzhukhin) in the 6.5 hour French serial "La Maison du Mystère".
I love a crappy horror film. They make for the best naps. I had a really good nap yesterday with the 1978 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I don't think I even made it thru the opening credits before I was asleep. My wife woke me up when it ended, and I felt very refreshed.
I like your picture analogy! I saw Nobody recently. Good enough for filler but was not a legendary movie. Had good bits (like the "Stop Requested" part). Overall I think I liked it more than you though.
