The Intercontinental All Italian Shave-Off

Apr 13: All-Italian Saturday Straight Shave

Lather: Proraso Red (sandalwood and shea butter)
Brush: Proraso Professional (27/57mm)
Razor: Universal Rasoio a Mano Libera Lama Intera 7/8
Blade: Dorco ST300 Platinum Stainless [11]
Post: extra lather
Balm: Proraso Blue Crema Liquida Dopobarba

Shaves don't get much better than this. Proraso Red is perfectly suited to straight shaving, and it's like this brush is optimized for the soap. Single 20-30 second load with a wet brush and had the perfect amount for 4 shaving passes plus an extra lather post. Ahhhhh.

Hey, where have all the Italian shaving gear fans disappeared to? :001_huh:

Today is a repeat combo. I'm going to 3017 my Cella while it's fresh. 15 more shave in it, I reckon. Enjoying each one so I'm not bothered to finish it off faster. Next will be my 3 Proraso soaps. I should be done with them by September. I quite like how they shave and that they are not greasy, thus being my top choice for summer soaps.

Razorock soaps come to me from Canada, but I've seen people say they're Italian. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I'd like to join in for a bit, I've been pretty Italian for the past month with the FFFMM. Someone recently gifted me with a tuck of Bolzano blades, so I guess it's time to try them with their natural partner the Fatip Piccolo (I know Bolzano are Italian in name only, but it's the best one can do nowadays).

Setup for the next couple of weeks:
Fatip Piccolo Mk1
Bolzano Superinox
Zenith B03-A26 aluminum pro boar brush
Cella red tub
Proraso white balm

(I know Bolzano are Italian in name only, but it's the best one can do nowadays).
From what I know, Bolzano is still an Italian company just as Nike is an American company. They have production facilities in Germany just as Nike has production facilities in Asia. Apparently, the factories in Germany were constructed to be identical to their Italian predecessors.
