I live in Israel.
I have lost count of all the times different questions were asked on this forum about Israeli blade manufacturers (mainly "Personna"). So, I wanted to try and give some sort of basic account of the very beginning of the history of blade manufacturing in Israel.
Actually, the story of the production of safety blades in Israel is an intricate one.
The first blade factory was built in Palestine, even before the independence of the state of Israel. It was founded in 1934 and became operational in 1936. The entrepreneur who started the whole thing was Ovsey Klotsman and the factory that was built near the city of Rishon-le-Zion (central Israel) was called "Okava". The factory produced blades under many brand-names.
