Born and raised in Texas. Married a Yankee (
) and now live in the north closer to her family. Everyone here asks me if I was in the military because to me everyone is a “mam” or “sir”. When I tell them no, I was just raised in Texas they all go ahh, that explains it.

I wasn't born in Texas but always wished I was. I married a Texan and lived in Texas for 17 years. Although I am not living there at present, I will return eventually, and ultimately I will retire there.
