No, I thought you agreed to change the name, but I guess it'll take awhile to catch on with the rest of the world.:001_smile

How do they write btw, might as well add some great info to the great photos for those to come along ?

I would imagine they were smooth, but are they springy nibs or stiff ones ?

That red Junior has a pretty stiff nib, not as bad as, say, a Sheaffer Lifetime but not springy either. The feed doesn't have a lot of buffering capacity and can blob if the temperature and pressure fluctuate. The large sac does hold a good amount of ink, too.

Smooth.

Here is mine in action. The nib is lightly flexible, but not so much that you can't push down a bit.

Here is my earliest, a black hard rubber Junior (pre-1926) I picked up for a pretty good deal since it has some brassing and a hairline cap crack. Good everyday vintage user pen even though it won't ever win any beauty contests. The Junior is about the same size capped as a Pelikan 100

so there is Junior, Senior, and a Lady version of Duofolds yes ?, and these are not quality marks but size reference, the lady being thinner in profile, the senior being larger then the junior in length ?, is that correct ?

Looks like this nib has a bit of spring to it as well, nice handwriting Doug. this would have been offered the same time as the Reds ?

Three sizes, and yes, the black was offered at the same time as the Chinese red. That isn't my handwriting, those are some 100 year old postcards I used as a white background -- probably a dip pen.

Probably a bit more boring than you were hoping for, but this is my British Aerometric duofold. A solid performer.

Nice pens, but generally too rich for my blood. For that money, I'd like to see and hold it in person before laying down the cash, so that leaves out the bargain hunting on eBay. Maybe, if my finances permit, I'll look around for one at the DC Supershow in August, but it's not my highest priority.

I am on the road this week, sorry about the recycled pic. This Duofold works just fine and is a joy to write with. The trim is a bit worn and brassing, but that only adds character - and lightens your wallet less.
