The Discontinued/Reformulated Lamentation Thread

It seems as though many of our favorite products suffer the same fate of either being discontinued or reformulated. AOS is just another example as of late. So which product has you grieving for its loss?:001_unsur

There's too many products out there that are great performers, so if something changes or is discontinued I don't sweat it, there will be something else to take its place.

I'm still too new to the game, but I am acquiring some likes as far as the products I use and it would be a shame if they changed. People were kind of freaking about MWF but then I guess they stated that it did not change so that's a good thing. I also recently picked up some Old Spice cream from India and then I heard that they had stopped making that, and that's a shame because it smells amazing!

Just looked online and AoS still lists tallow as the first ingredient of their soap, in case you are looking to stock up. I think I'm going to get a back-up lavender puck and either enjoy the tallow or test out the new stuff (if they haven't updated the web site).

20% off sale until the 27th if you get their emails too.

Cheers!

Tallow Penhaligon's: and I would have liked to have known you but I was just a kid. Your [tallow] candle burned out long before your legend ever did.

Proraso Splash,Proraso Liquid Cream Aftershave (I hate the new version). The new Proraso green pre-post lotion and shaving creams and soaps are not too bad, neither is the splash but I preferred the original formulas.I also wish Skin Bracer and AV were still in glass bottles.Shulton Old Spice.

Wow, I can't believe no one has mentioned Floid Blue yet. It is the only one I think that has been the victim of both!

I got moves like Jagger
P.160 .... but I have a kilo of Tipo Duro and about 2/3kg of Tipo Morbido, so I'm good for a while.... unless someone else has a stash they want to move

Wow, you gents are very unfortunate! i have not reached that stage as i only use two soaps and unrefined shea butter, so i have not come to that drastic state. i have forewarned my two soap-makers to provide me with a lifetime supply of their soaps if they ever decide to retire. :biggrin1:

No sooner did I develop a soft spot for Tom's of Maine mint shaving cream then I discovered they don't manufacture it anymore.

What? Has AOS reformulated its soap? I had not heard. Please tell me more.
Yes, P&G has apparently stopped using Valobra as its supplier for the AoS soap pucks. It is now made in the USA and palm-oil based (despite all the lamentations, you can't tell the difference between tallow and palm oil when it comes to soaps, all other things equal).
The two people who have actually tried it so far had good things to say about it, so it seems that it is still a good soap.

If it can be considered a product, ever since i discovered wet shaving and this forum, I lament the loss of:
