Since it is Movember, I am thinking about sending in my Fatboy for a replating/tune-up. It has been a while since I looked into this type of service, so who all would you recommend?

They are banned here and most (all?) other forums for a reason. Just do a quick search, you'll read the stories about poor customer service, lost heirlooms, different razors sent back to their clients ... etc ... etc...

Chris is the guy. He is replating two of my most prized razors for me right now: a British #15 and an Old Type Big Fellow. Be prepared to wait a good 5 weeks because his high-level craftsmanship is making him a very popular person right now!
He has no photos of his "black chrome replate"? Anybody got one? That sounds like it looks awesome or horrendous. No in between. Lol.

Yep. Not bad at all. Got a slim that is my candidate for replating one day.
+2 Chris did a great job on 2 of my razors (a TTO and a 3-piece).
Both finishes turned out perfect (gold and nickel).
