+1 on Forever stems. I have at least three of them in different lengths, Churchwarden, semi CW and standard lengths.
Is there a big difference if you smoke your Falcon with or without cleaner? I got sick of the fiddling and smoke them now without anything.
I only used the triangle 6mm Savinelli filters and they worked fine in the Sav‘s and MM‘s.I'd say yes, in that the filter catches more gunk than the humidor would/does without it, with no reduction in taste. Much like using balsa filters, really. The only reason I don't use balsa filters more often, is my briar pipes don't take them.
I have retrofitted my 9mm Stanwells and 6mm Savinellis, works like a charm! There are inserts if you don't want to use a filter but don't like the wide open draw of leaving out the filter. Not sure that they fit an MM cob, but I would imagine it could be modified to do so.

I think most of you are way ahead of me in pipe and tobacco knowledge
It turns out I have not smoked any Va/Pers! So I just ordered a sampling of some and while on SP I came across this wonderful article, which I thought I'd share here. I found it interesting and informative.
My favorite VaPer is Esoterica Dunbar but it's not worth today's secondary market prices. My suggestion would be to have your finger on the button 12/1 at the stroke of midnight for this:It turns out I have not smoked any Va/Pers!

Being Sutliff now has an owner's interest in Tobaccopipes, I'd begin there but wouldn't limit the search to that vendor.Do I really have to stay up until midnight, will it go before morning? And where to buy it from if I'm going to be 'finger on the button'?
I want to give you a word of warning about Bayou Morning. It's a wonderful tobacco blend with this in mind. It has the smoothness, subtly, and refinement of a brick wrapped in barbed wire being thrown by an angry clown driving a Vespa. Now that is not a bad thing in my book. There are definitely times I'm not interested in chasing nuance. And smoked slowly it's boldness translates to some wonderful flavors. But be aware this won't hesitate to kick you like a particularly grumpy mule.I started this thread for anyone, obviously, but it is mostly for me to pick your brains and learn. I think most of you are way ahead of me in pipe and tobacco knowledge, and although I've smoked pipes, on and off (mostly off), for years, I think I'm completely hooked now and diving deeper into the rabbit hole.

I don't have any experience with that style of pipe, but if I were to get one, I'd go with a Lepeltier. I've heard good things about them.No comments about the ceramic pipe, post #48? I guess I'll just have to try one!
