the best oil ever!!

Just thought I would let everyone know about a product I have been shaving with for the past week.Coconut oil.I know it sounds funny but, coconut oil is better than any shave cream I have ever used.I have tried all kinds of "high end" shave creams the last being Taylor Avocado, and the coconut oil blew it 10 miles out of the water.Simply put I have never had a better more comfortable shave.Coconut oil has many beneficial properties for your skin and you are not putting chemicals on your face unlike shave creams.Coconut oil is also cheap and better than the commercial brand shave oils,I have used quite a few of these aswell and none of them are the equal of coconut oil.So in conclusion....If you want to save some money and have the best shave of your life, give coconut oil a whirl.

A supplier gave a a sample of coconut oil - a 20kg pail of RBD Coconut oil, as well as a sample of natural coconut oil which has a toasted coconut smell.

Would it be better mixed with siloxanes to give a better glide?

I just use extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil that I bought in a health food store,I did'nt do or add anything to it,you don't need to.

Also good for your hair, and your health. Can eat it, shave with it, condition your hair with it, it does it all.

If you don't want to shave with just coconut oil, try rubbing some on your face as a pre-shave while your in the shower.

Add some pineapple and rum and you'll be singing:

damn, I was going to say something along these lines. If you do this, I have a feeling that while you might not necessarily go around singing this, certainly more than a few people will belt that out to you as they walk by.

I've used coconut oil as a preshave and it created a drag on the razor when using it. I did appy it liberally, so perhaps I used to much.

OK, so how do you use it? I bought some at Vitamin Shoppe and it is pretty hard. How do you soften it? How much do you use?

"Q. My coconut oil is now liquid. It was solid when I bought it at the store. Is it still okay?
A. This is our most frequently asked question. Yes, it's perfectly okay. Coconut oil melts at about 76°F. Below this temperature it is a solid; above, it is a liquid."

It will melt at skin tempature. You can take some and massage it it in the palm of your hand and then apply the liquid results.
