There have been many threads like this in the time I have been here but I just could not resist comment this time.
This is how my day has gone...
TSMBA and I traded some razors awhile back and in true post office fashion I was made to wait awhile longer than TSMBA.
Well let me tell you something...I was expecting straight razors and got that plus Soaps, A/S and DE Blades (Swedes to boot!). The straights need a bit-o-work so I gleefully loaded a Swede into my Slim, dialed 7 and lathered up a brand new puck of Tabac!
I have had many DFS and BBS shaves in the last two years but nothing like today's shave. Tabac lathers unlike any soap I've ever owned and in less time too. It feels incredibly different than my C&E or Proraso on the skin and until today I often wondered how people could compare the lubrication of the lather from soap to soap...Now I know cause I actually felt it!
The Swede/Tabac combo made a DFS in 2 passes and was so smooth and irritation free on the third that I did a fourth with all kinds of Blade Buffing and J-hooking....The cold water rinse was other worldly...if that sensation could last forever...
Didn't even bother with Thayer's today...went straight to Tabac A/S as I finally have it's soap brother...no burn not even a tingle...
It is amazing when one shave can stand out from the hundreds of others in a lifetime. Thanks TSMBA (Tom) your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten!
Today was special, today was great...on top of it all just after my shave was done the phone rang...
AND AFTER 11 MONTHS...I AM NO LONGER UNEMPLOYED!
I want to thank TSMBA and CHEECH and MAJOR BURNZ and PUMPKIN and BABA and all the rest of you for being such great brothers, such fabulous fun and fine support. It has been a long year but with B&B at least I have had fun and maintained my well being through superior grooming and fantastic brotherhood. I feel like each of you could come to my house and eat with my family and we would be friends...the morale I gained from being here helped me keep myself and thus my family rolling and well this year and for this I am grateful.
May each and everyone of you be blessed today and everyday!
