That feeling when...

Some of my favourite soaps (yield best results for me) when I use my straights are B&M and the new Proraso "single edge" line. Also as previously mentioned, if your lather is too dry, the blade will hang up, add more water. Also, you want a very shallow angle, but not so shallow that the spine touches your face. Another thing to try is a bit of a running start. Don't start shaving right where you need to, make sure your the blade is already moving (controlled movement, you want to keep that blade on the outside of your skin) when you encounter the hair. Hope this made some sense.
 
Someone said Wiliams soap and I agree but mainly I like the price. Not expensive and does the job. I laugh a little since one of my hobbies is making soap and so far I have not tried to make a shaving soap. Two reasons I haven't are, Wiliams works well and I haven't had time. Besides, the soap I make would cost me more so I'm not sure it's worth it.
